Young Artist Showcase
Savannah high schools are invited to participate in Young Artist Showcase, an annual juried art show featuring the work of Savannah High School juniors and seniors.
In order to be considered for the exhibit, schools must submit the following:
- Entry Forms (Download the form here)
- One CD with Digital Images
- Inventory of Artwork (Include Student Name, Title, Media, Size, and Price)
Eligibility: This showcase is open to public schools, private schools, and home-schooled students.
Media/Genre: Open to all media
Submission Guidelines: We are asking that teachers facilitate the process by compiling student work and submitting one CD/DVD per school. Each student should complete an entry form. Please send all materials to:

Savannah, GA 31401For Teachers: Submit images using a CD/DVD and clearly label it with the school's name, mailing address, contact information, and the email address where notifications should be sent. Each school should submit only one CD. Teachers may submit no more than three entries per student. CD/DVDs will not be returned.
For Home-Schooled Students: Submit images using a CD/DVD and cleary label it with your full name, mailing address, and contact information. Each student may submit no more than three entres. CD/DVDs will not be returned.
Images: Desotorow only accepts digital images for consideration. Images must meet the following specifications:
File Names: School name followed by the student's last name and then entry number (i.e. DupontHigh_Smith01.jpg, DupontHigh_Smith02.jpg).
Home-schooled students should use the following format: "home" followed by last name and entry number (i.e. Home_Smith01.jpg).
File Size: Images must be saved in a HIGH QUALITY JPEG format at 72 DPI and no smaller than 1000 pixels in any direction.
Selection Process: Desotorow Gallery will select students from each participating school to showcase in the exhibit. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded to students showcasing exceptional artistic merit.
Delivery & Return of Work: All work accepted for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works that are not ready to hang or that do not exhibit good craftsmanship may be omitted from the exhibit. Work that differs significantly from the entry images may be disqualified. Work can be hand delivered or shipped. Hand delivered work must be picked up from the gallery by the date specified (see Deadlines). Desotorow Gallery is not responsible for work left beyond the date specified. Shipped works must be sent in a reusable container with return shipping prepaid. Work should be securely packaged, clearly labeled, and sent with a return shipping label. Works will be returned in the same manner as delivered, or via UPS/USPS. Accepted work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
Entry Fee: There is no entry fee to particpate in this exhibition.
Sale of Work: Desotorow Gallery, Inc. will not take commission on the sale of artwork. Payment will be made directly to artists.

The gallery may request hi-res images of accepted work upon notification.
Liability: Desotorow Gallery will take the utmost care with your work. Insurance will not be provided for any artwork while on Desotorow Gallery, Inc.’s premises. Desotorow Gallery, Inc. bears no responsibility and is not liable for damage to, theft of, or change in the condition of artwork while on the gallery premises or as a result of participation with the gallery. The gallery is not responsible for any damage occurred during shipping.
